Gurupurab Celebration 2018

Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town celebrated Gurpurab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism with great fervor, devotion & enthusiasm. The programme started with recital of 51 ‘Japji Sahib’ by 51 students followed by Shabad Kirtan under the patronage of Holy Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Around 200 students of the school dressed in white sang the hymns describing his glory & spoke on his life & teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji through poems, speeches and sakhis. The sangat made a beeline to pay obeisance to the great Guru.

General Secretary S. Gurvinder Singh Sarna, Manager S. Harbhajan Singh (Advocate), Principal Mrs. Gurmant Kaur Gill, staff and students joined hands in celebrating the Gurpurab. Speaking on the occasion, S. Gurvinder Singh Sarna Gen. Secy. threw light on the life & teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji & stated to follow the path of universal brotherhood & peace.

Lastly, Langar was served to the sangat by staff & students of the school
