Opening Ceremony of Annual Athletic Meet of Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town

Opening Ceremony of 2 Day Annual Athletic Meet of Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town kicked off amidst great excitement and fanfare on 2nd December 2024 at the school grounds. Mr. Jasdev Singh Sekhon, Assistant Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana was the guest of the day. The meet commenced with well synchronized March Past by students of Blue, Red, Gold & Green Houses followed by Oath Taking Ceremony led by Harjas Kaur of Class X. Manvir Singh of Class XII ignited the torch to flag off the event. The meet was declared open by releasing multi coloured ballons, which ascended upwards carrying the message of true sportsman ship spirit.

The aspects of fitness, coordination & balance were displayed through Karate & yoga. Band display by School Band Team & P.T. display by students of Primary wing were a spectacular show. The event was aimed to promote physical fitness, sportsmanship & team spirit among young athletics.

The opening was marked with an array of field events as students of different houses vied for top positions in different ground events like races, throws etc. The students from Nsy to II std. found a platform to display their sporting talents in a string of events. Their enthusiasm was reflected thought their energetic participation in races such as fruit race, vegetable race, pair race, tug of war, bunny race, frog race, drag race, relay race, skipping race etc. The school playground came alive with energy & excitement as students competed with zeal supported by an encouraging audience.

 The chief guest applauded the students for their competitive spirit amongst themselves.

The Managing Committee of the school & Principal Mrs. Gurmant Kaur Gill thanked the chief guest for sparing his precious time from his busy schedule.
