Closing Ceremony of Annual Athletic Meet held at Guru Nanak International Public School

The Closing Ceremony of Annual Athletic Meet of Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town was held on 3rd December 2024. The Chief Guest, Mrs. Amrit Kaur Gill, IAS, former Secretary, Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board & Special Secretary Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, was accorded a warm welcome by S. Gurvinder Singh Sarna (Gen.Secretary), S. Jasvinder Singh (Manager), Mrs. Gurmant Kaur Gill (Principal) & senior faculty members.

The Programme commenced with the recitation of Shabad seeking the blessings of the Almighty followed by welcome address by Principal Mrs.Gurmant Kaur Gill. After the guest of the day took the salute of the parade, different ground events were held.

There were 100m Race Boys (Senior Category) in which Dilpreet Singh of Blue House won the gold medal. Blue House won 4 X 100 mtr. Relay Race amongst Girls & Boys. Tug of war (Boys) was won by Green House.

There was spectacular show of P.T.Display, Band Display, Yoga, Karate. The spectators were wonderstruck & spell bound to see the perfect coordination of these shows presented by various students.

Overall Best House Trophy was lifted by Blue House & Best March Past Trophy was bagged by Green House. Jatinderpal Singh (Senior Category), Birinder Singh (Junior Category) & Gursahib Singh (Sub-Junior Category) were declared the Best Athletes amongst the boys. Jessica (Senior Category), Neha Arora (Junior Category) & Harseerat Kaur (Sub-Junior Category) were declared the Best Athletes amongst the girls. 

The players who had participated in District, State & National Tournaments were also honoured. Boys & Girls of the school presented Bhangra and the audience was mesmerised to see the performance of the students & gave a thundering applause.

Gen. Secretary S. Gurvinder Singh Sarna proposed vote of thanks.

The guest of the day declared the Meet close which was followed by Retreat Ceremony & handing over the flag.  In the end National Anthem was sung by one and all followed by bursting off the crackers.
