Republic Day Celebrations 2020

The Republic Day Celebrations along with the conclusion of clubs, marking the end of 2019-20 co-curricular activities was held in Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town on 25th Jan., 2020. Along with these celebrations, Hubs of Learning - Inter school Group Song Competition and Cookery Competition was conducted to encourage the patriotic spirit in the students. The whole school campus was caught up in a patriotic fervor. Students from Pre-Primary, Primary and Middle classes participated in various events like Poem, Dance, Drama etc. The students took a pledge on Gender Equality. Students of Heritage Club gave PPT presentation and enlightened all with the importance of Republic Day Parade. Cookery Club students prepared mouthwatering and delicious dishes. A Drama based on the importance and conservation of trees was presented by the students. Feet tapping dance performance on patriotic songs entertained all.

Pre-Primary wing was decorated with tricolor balloons, kites and flags. Several activities were carried out to celebrate the occasion. Nursery & LKG students coloured the balloons and badges in tricolor. UKG students made Tiranga on a chart by thumb painting and students of class I and II spoke a few lines on Republic Day and sang the National Anthem as Mike Activity.

The Principal, Mrs. G. K. Gill encouraged everyone to become good citizens and understand their rights and duties. Winners of Inter School Group Song Competition and Cookery Competition were awarded with the prizes and were motivated by the judges and the Principal. National Anthem at the end of the programme marked its culmination. Indeed, it was a day full of patriotism for all.
