Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town organises Stippling and Hatching Activity for Grade IX
To help students understand and practice shading, texture, and depth in artwork using only line techniques, a Stippling and Hatching Activity was organised at Guru Nanak International Public School on 22nd July 2026 for grade IX students.
The aim of the activity was to create visual effects without using colors, so that students could learn control over pencil pressure, spacing, and pattern. Students actively participated and used dots and lines to show 3D form, volume, light and shadow in their artworks.
The Stippling and Hatching Activity proved to be an effective way to strengthen students' foundation in tonal drawing. It successfully taught them that colors are not always needed to make art expressive — lines alone can create depth, mood, and texture.
Director, Mrs. Gurmant Kaur Gill along with Officiating Principal Mrs. Gurjit Kaur, appreciated the efforts of the students and encouraged them to continue participating in more such activities.
