Lohri Celebrations in Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town

Lohri was celebrated in Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town on 11th Jan., 2020 with great zeal & fervour. The celebration began with a special assembly wherein importance of the festival was highlighted, thus creating awareness among the students. The mood on the campus was upbeat & the students were totally absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri. General Secretary S. Gurvinder Singh Sarna, Manager S. Harbhajan Singh (Advocate) & Principal Mrs. Gurmant Kaur Gill lit the sacred bonfire to initiate the celebration. The students of kindergarten attired in traditional dresses performed on Punjabi beats. The students of other classes also sang songs & danced on the tunes of Punjabi folk songs & enjoyed 'peanuts', 'rewaries' and 'gachak'. It was a day well spent & the school was today full of joy & laughter.
