Independence Day Celebrations at G.N.I.Public School, Model Town

The students of Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town were caught up in the spirit of patriotism and celebrated Independence Day/ ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ on 12th August, 2022. The whole campus was decorated with tricolour dupattas, flags, kites & balloons. The day began with a beautiful medley of patriotic songs during morning assembly. It was followed by a speech on Independence Day. A cultural programme was also organized in which students presented poems, drama on the life of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, medley of patriotic songs & giddha.

The students of Pre-Primary Wing also participated in the celebration. The students of classes Nursery, LKG & UKG coloured National Flag, National Flower & made tricolour badges respectively. Students of classes I & II enacted role play of freedom fighters & made cards & flags. Students also sang patriotic songs, poems and spoke few lines on National Flag. They also performed folk dance to mark the 75th Independence Day/ ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

Principal Mrs. Gurmant Kaur Gill highlighted the importance of Independence Day/ ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. She congratulated all on the celebration of 75 years of Independence. It was a great success.
